North East based sketch group Hot Gulp ended 2014 on a massive high, a sketch parodying one of last Christmas’ most popular festive adverts went viral, amassing close to 500,000 views. This Christmas, they’re aiming for even better, with a live show at The Stand on Tuesday 22nd December.

The sketch trio, consisting of Hal Branson, Patrick “Paddy” Low and Sean McKenna have only broke into the realm of live performance this year, after garnering lots of success through their video sketches. It’ll be fun to see the energy from their videos carry over live, with their sketches clever and well written, but still carrying the undercurrent of the chaotic, silly nature of Reeves and Mortimer or The League Of Gentlemen.

They’re joined for this live show, by two fantastic stand-ups, Amy Gledhill and David Callaghan. After successfull double bill Edinburgh shows, they both bring something different to the table, Gledhill is full of energy, with brilliantly daft and fun ideas, Callaghan is charismatic and clever, both are utterly hilarious.

This is sure to be one of the more unique evenings of festive fun.

Hot Gulp’s Christmas Show: It’s A Wondergulp Life, is at The Stand, Newcastle on Tuesday 22nd December.
