As Halloween fast approaches, it’s not just getting dressed up and snaffling sweets that should get you excited, as Newcastle’s Tyneside Cinema has lined up some incredible treats for film fans, with the chance to see some of the greatest horror films ever made on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th October, as part of their Halloween Cult Classic All-Nighter.
It’s all happening for just £1 per film, with the annual event always proving a smash. All four screens will be utilised, and there’s even a spooktacular Hallloween Party at Tyneside Bar Cafe on the Saturday with themed food, drink and music. It’s the movies we’ll all be there for though, so whether it’s the raucous fun of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, the terrifying Carrie; all-time classic Ghostbusters; the spine-chilling Alien or the glorious 80s favourite An American Werewolf in London, there’s lots to choose from.
You could even venture into world cinema, with Japanese horror Dark Water, Iranian-American flick A Girl Walks Home At Night or South Korean zombie movie Train To Busan. Throw in others like video nasty The Driller Killer;cult favourite The Evil Dead; the film that birthed the zombie genre Night Of The Living Dead or the iconic A Nightmare On Elm Street, and it’s a weekend stacked with Halloween fun that should inspire some excellent costumes come the night itself on Monday.
