A new show from comedian George Zach makes its way to The Stand in Newcastle on Sunday 31st July, as Confessions Of A Homeless Sex God sees the Greek comedian open up about a very interesting year in his life.

A regular at comedy clubs up and down the country, George Zach calls the North East home so this should be a very memorable gig for him after a hugely successful time at the Melbourne Comedy Festival this year. Indeed, his story for this show starts at the same festival in 2015, and his return to the UK, which saw a relationship fall apart, his agent dropping him, the tax office asking for money he didn’t have, and a house move which saw him end July 2015 broke, single and homeless. George didn’t let this be the first few steps to a meltdown though, and via court dates, drugs, good sex, bad sex, TV appearances and raspberry muffins, he finds redemption, of sorts.

An immensely sharp comedic mind, this is a comic on the rise you won’t want to miss. A gift for storytelling comedy and immensely relatable material that always packs a punch, with twists and turns that’ll have you enthralled throughout. With an early start of 5.30 pm, it’s an ideal way to spend a Sunday afternoon, as even if you’re nursing a hangover, you can give your internal monologue an hour off, and instead listen to a talented comic question whether sex, drugs and rock n’ roll are really as fun as they sound.

George Zach is at The Stand, Newcastle on Sunday 31st. July.
