Are you a major music fan who also just happens to be hard of hearing or disabled? Do you fancy some free gig tickets and the opportunity to help the local music scene at the same time? Yes? Of course! Who would turn down such a sweet offer? As a disabled music fan myself, I certainly wouldn’t turn down the opportunity.

Attitude Is Everything have been attempting to research the experiences of deaf and disabled music fans across the region for some time now and are looking to expand their research with the help of Generator. But they need your help to do it!

The north east music scene is a complex web of venues, acts, and experiences, and so the people at AIE are looking to hear from as many people as possible to highlight the issues faced by deaf and disabled people in the region when they’re off to a gig. They’re interested in people from all walks of life – whether you’re a casual gig goer, a hardcore music fan, a music maker or industry professional – to take part in the project. They’re asking the questions: what’s great about the north east music scene? What’s not so great? And, more than anything, what barriers are there for disabled gig goers and what could be improved?

To start the project, they’re looking for Mystery Shoppers to help them with some hands on research into the field. So, if you fancy getting some free gig tickets and getting your travel costs reimbursed in exchange for a few thoughts on how the gig went, why not get in touch? It’s set to be an amazing way to improve the experience of disabled people on the north east gig circuit and to get a few free goodies too.
