Geordie funnyman Gavin Webster is back to the day job this week after the glitz and glamour of a regional movie premier for Ken Loach’s I, Daniel Blake in which he had a role alongside longtime friend and fellow comic Dave Johns. It’s comedy Gavin calls home though, and he takes his new show to Whitley Bay Playhouse on Friday 14th October.
His anarchic yet incredibly silly humour will be on offer as usual, with the comic always happy to be back on home turf to deliver a brand new hour of grandiose set pieces, local lampooning, crash bang wallop gags, dark observations, funny stories and downright lies. There’s the chance of a comedic song or two, and lots of inventive, playful comedy will have you laughing all night long. With support from fellow revered Geordie comic John Fothergill, Whitley Bay is in for a real treat this Friday.
