Reliably informed

Based in the region, all-female theatre crew Fun In The Oven (get it?) are passionate about creating productions and performances that incorporate a variety of different media – including physical threatre, street art, contemporary dance and music – and don’t just consist of the audience sitting watching them do their thing. Instead, they encourage interaction, curiosity and play amongst the crowd. Really, they’ve got all the bases covered to the point where when they say they’re putting on a show, you can expect to see something truly unique.

Recently, the group had a four-day residency at the Alphabetti, working on their latest show The Munitionettes. To really get it off the ground, though, they need a bit more extra funding. And what better way to encourage people to donate a bit of cash than to show off what you can do? As a result, Fun In The Oven are putting on a one-off variety cabaret night full of surprises that’ll give you a taste of their talents and help finally put their latest production on the stage. Considering how hard they work to produce multi-disciplinary pieces, there’s bound to be something for everyone to enjoy.

Fun In The Oven’s variety cabaret night comes to Alphabetti Theatre, Newcastle on Saturday 5th September.
