It’s going to take a lot to pull you indoors on glorious summer evenings, but Newcastle Castle may have the answer. They launch their new film season on Friday 1st June with a screening of the action, adventure, comedy classic The Goonies.

Hosted inside The Castle itself, the atmospheric stone walls are the perfect surroundings to watch this film in. The Goonies will be brought to life on a large screen, and it’s set for a one-off experience like no-other. Though, there are still other one-off experiences to come too. Vampire, horror, cult favourite The Lost Boys is next up on Friday 6th July, and Mel Brooks’ brilliantly silly comedy Robin Hood – Men In Tights screens on Friday 3rd August. For something a little different, the Baz Luhrman re-imagining of Romeo & Juliet is on Friday 7th September.

With tickets priced at £9, these evening screenings are going to create something memorable for those Summer nights.

Newcastle Castle’s Film Season starts with The Goonies on Friday 1st June.
