We all love good things for good reasons, and they don’t get much better than this superb gig at The Cumberland Arms in Newcastle on Saturday 13th February.

Raising money for the Percy Hedley Foundation, who support people with cerebral palsy, autism and other disabilities, a trio of gorgeous indie pop vibes and honeyed tones will provide the soundtrack to a cosy night out. Taking on headlining duties are the striking lo-fi pop sounds of E’Spaniel, whose jangly indie is warm and inclusive, full of perfect hum-along melodies and sweet vocals. Birthed from the ashes of indie band Pale Man Made, their recently self-released single, No Common Sense, was produced by Steve Whitfield (The Cure) and it showcases the group’s innate ability to pen a sparkling and catchy pop tune. They’re ably assisted by the lush fuzz of Baker Island, whose intelligent agit-pop will induce shoegazy shuffling, while the haunting sounds of Caroline Mary adds a delicate nuance to the bill.
