A little thing like a global pandemic is not going to stop the lively music extravaganza that is Durham BRASS as they take the festval, which was due to take place 10th-19th July to the internet for BRASS Online 2020, taking place from Monday 13th to Saturday 18th July, via the BRASS website.

This digital dancefest will feature many of the festival favourites from around the globe for you to enjoy from the comfort of your own home. There will interactive and entertaining workshops hosted by the likes of Spanish amigos Artistas Del Gremio, Mouv ‘n’ Brass from France, the UK’s own Backchat Brass and Mr Wilson’s Second Liners with some exclusive content for BRASS 2020.

The festival team has also teamed up with the volunteer-run cinema co-operative Star and Shadow who recently set up its own radio station during lockdown and will be broadcasting two shows celebrating brass music on Monday 13th and Friday 17th July, from 7pm to 9pm.

And for those who like a good old reminisce fans will be able to take a look back at some of the best BRASS moments from past events and bringing the festival to a close on Saturday 18th July, five of BRASS’s favourite street bands will perform together online, with a backdrop of footage from previous years.
