Reliably informed

Never failing to produce interesting and well curated line-ups, and all at one of the Ouseburn Valley’s most loved venues, The Cumberland Arms, to boot, Endless Window once again come up trumps with a three band bill that deserves your utmost attention on Friday 15th September.

Striking a suitably apocalyptic din for these troubled times, Mancunian noise makers DUDS provide the headline soundtrack to a night of fast, furious and radgy fun. Their concise avant-punk style certainly caught the attention of Thee Oh Sees’ John Dwyer, whose Castle Face Records will be releasing their debut album this month. Their raucous sound comes with added Beefheart-esque guitars and a percussive style that’ll blow the roof off.

North East post-punk noise makers Luxury add to the din, bringing a wonderfully visceral show to proceedings (and you can find out more about them and their new single on page 27); while Emergency Librarian’s glorious fusion of sight and sound, replete with expansive synths and beats, will ensure the night begins with an industrial sized bang.

So, why not treat your eardrums to a night of well-intended punishment? We promise you they’ll thank you for it.

DUDS play The Cumberland Arms, Newcastle as part of Endless Window on Friday 15th September.
