Reliably informed

Pop quiz: what do Amsterdam, influential post-punk artist Peter Hook, spectacular sunsets and sunrises and vast expanses of the North Sea have in common? You can have them all, plus a bed for two nights, for around £70 if you go on the Stonelove Vs Bulletproof cruise departing North Shields on Friday 17th November. Not only that, but entertainment will also include Dutch trio Kraak & Smaak plus DJs representing the legendary nights Stonelove (Aaron Mellor) and Bulletproof (Tallest Paul).

Bassist Peter Hook will perform with his band The Light, offering the rarest of opportunities to see them play in the middle of the North Sea, while the DJs spin post-punk, funk, disco, house, electronic and indie tunes galore.

If that all sounds a bit too raucous, why not enjoy Jumpin’ Hot Club’s Motown & Soul Weekender and let the soulful sounds of the legendary Martha Reeves & The Vandellas serenade your trip to the Netherlands on Friday 3rd November, supported by Motown guru Nige Brown and the Voices of Virtue Gospel Choir.

And we haven’t even mentioned the fact that you can spend a handful of hours in the wonderfully cultural city of Amsterdam! (We advise spending more time in museums than coffee shops; sea-sickness and weed do not make good bed fellows).
