No Wave is having something of a moment right now and The Cluny have managed to get Norway’s premier exponents of the genre, Deathcrush, to play the venue on Monday 24th November. The ambitious group – hailing from Oslo – released the first in a series of singles last year and have since supported bands as diverse as Melt-Banana, Vivian Girls, Sleigh Bells and Dillinger Escape Plan. Their sound – which they describe as “pelvic noise sludge” – mixes hip hop, pop, trash metal and noise in a furiously infectious way.

Joining Deathcrush on the night are the powerhouse duo of Mansions of Glory and Witch Hands. Noise rockers and Newcastle natives Mansions of Glory are well known for their supremely energetic live sets, while Witch Hands are becoming masters of slick, filthy blues rock. Together, the three bands are sure to provide an ear-bleedingly good night.

Deathcrush play at The Cluny 2 on Monday 24th November.
