Every Monday for the past five years, Darlington Film Club, originally at The Arts Centre and now at The Forum, has been the place to go for classic and cult cinema fans. Founded and curated by James Watson, it has created a community of movie lovers within the town who regularly attend to see great films on the big screen. They also put on special Q&A screenings, which in the past have brought in stars from the Hellraiser, Hammer Horror, James Bond and Carry On… films.

On Monday 12th September Darlington Film Club, along with London-based film company Misty Moon Film Society, proudly present an exclusive screening of 1974’s top-grossing British film Confessions Of A Window Cleaner, followed by a live Q&A session with the main star of the film Robin Askwith, one of the most successful British actors of the 70s.

Questions will no doubt focus on Robin’s acting career from his big breaks in If and Horror Hospital, his role as Timothy Lea in the Confessions… films and his part in Britain’s other well know saucy comedy film franchise Carry On Girls, to recent roles in Coronation Street, Casualty and Benidorm. There’s also a chance to meet and greet Robin Askwith after the show.

The Darlington Film Club is a valuable resource for cult movie fans, run by a passionate and dedicated team. Check out their Facebook page for details of future screenings.
