After years as bassist and vocalist for Alkaline Trio, Dan Andriano is striking out on his own. Off the back of the release of July’s album Party Adjacent with his band Dan Andriano In The Emergency Room, he hits The Cluny 2 on Sunday 15th November.

Last on our shores solo, as a guest of Chuck Ragan’s Revival Tour, this tour sees Andriano with a full band behind him, delivering his latest album the way he intended it to be heard. A surge of energy, drawing from years of experience, his live show will showcase some excellent song writing in a perfectly intimate venue.

A project which started for Andriano as “something for me to do with songs I had been writing that didn’t seem to have a place on Alkaline Trio records”, The Emergency Room is growing nicely, having started in its earliest form when Adriano found himself living in Florida, releasing full-length Hurricane Season in 2011 and going on to tour troubadour-style, acoustic guitar in hand, on the US and European legs of the aforementioned Revival Tour.

The new album shows influences ranging from Thin Lizzy to Elvis Costello via Billy Bragg, Alkaline Trio and new fans alike will want to check out a show built around one artist’s singular vision all rounded out and augmented in a new and fresh collaborative effort.

Sam Russo is along for the ride as main support act. The Plymouth-based singer-songwriter released his second album of largely acoustic songs Greyhound Dreams last month, and having supported the likes of Tim Barry and Crazy Arm on tour, he’ll provide perfect accompaniment for Andriano & co.

Dan Andriano In The Emergency Room and Sam Russo play The Cluny 2, Newcastle on Sunday 15th November.
