Two beloved institutions of the ever-fertile Leeds DIY scene, Crumbs and Cowtown, are combining forces for a joint UK tour this summer, which hits the recently refurbished Cluny 2 for an unmissable weekend party on Saturday 4th August.

Merging frazzled post-hardcore riffs with squelching, infectious synth basslines and shout-a-long vocal lines, Cowtown have built themselves a reputation as a ferocious and unmissable live band – albeit one that hasn’t made it to the North East previously. Crumbs meanwhile return off the back of a packed headline show at Little Buildings last year courtesy of Confusion Is Next. Having already treated Newcastle to a dose of their party ready post-punk, their return appearance is sure to be feverishly anticipated.

If that wasn’t enough, there’s also two of the wildest and rowdiest local acts appearing as supports. Having made a splash with two singles on Box Records and appearances at this year’s Raw Power and Evolution Emerging festivals, Shy-Talk return to their Cluny stomping grounds for another round of mustard-coloured rock action. Completing the bill is the duo of William Denton Wilde, who deliver knowingly silly chaos. Now, does this seem like the kind of summer party you can really afford to turn down?
