Back for their third year, Crossing The Tees literary festival is organised by library services across the Tees Valley. A range of events take place at various venues from Friday 10th until Saturday 25th June, including talks and discussions with authors, poets and writers, creative workshops plus plenty of opportunities to chat to writers from the region and beyond.

Frances Brody, Jenny Colgan and Stuart Cosgrove will be giving talks on their books and sharing their writing experiences, plus there will be a string of invaluable writing workshops where writers will share tips and ideas on publishing.

History Wardrobe returns with two sessions, including a special Titanic-themed event exploring historic documents, jewellery and fashion pieces that were found on the famous wreck. Poets Andy Willoughby and Andrew Forster will be performing their poetry, whilst Natalie Scott will be discussing poetic writing techniques.

ARC in Stockton will host the Crossing The Tees Film Festival on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th June, when cinematic classics will be brought back to life, including Martin Scorsese’s award-winning mob drama Goodfellas, 2015’s Oscar-nominated Room, the adaptation of Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr Fox and the 1946 film adaptation of Great Expectations.
