Local promoters Beyond The Wall are now on their second show of 2016, and have packed together another cracking line-up to show that they really mean business this year, and a gig at Head Of Steam on Friday 12th February is one that could be well worth a look.

Neo-shoegazers, and purveyors of introspective melodic sounds, Colour Of Spring could be a stand-out as they bring some truly lovely sounds from Leeds. Black Lung Club will be a little change of pace, shoegazey elements are still present, but underneath an altogether angstier noise that leads to a very captivating and original sound. Rounding it all out are the angstier still Spitfire Hostels, who let an energy hide beneath melodic, dreamy pop before letting it all explode.

It’s a well put together line-up, and a perfect showcase for three bands that really push themselves forward as doing something interesting and a little bit different, and will carry that all over wonderfully in a live setting; with their enthralling yet intricate sounds sure to bounce around beautifully in the intimate setting of Head Of Steam.

Colour of Spring, Black Lung Club and Spitfire Hostels play Head Of Steam on Friday 12th February.
