Described as the most intimate rock n’ roll documentary of all time by Rolling Stone, Cobain: Montage of Heck is the first feature film exploring the controversial life of the Nirvana frontman that has been fully authorized. Featuring never-before-seen home videos, director Brett Morgen takes us on the troubled and highly personal journey of one of the most conflicted personalities in modern music histories. The documentary will also show Cobain’s personal archive of art and music and will feature interviews with those closest to him. Cobain: Montage of Heck will follow Kurt’s path from the iconic Aberdeen, Washington, through to his rise to fame with Nirvana, and promises to explore and showcase both the light and dark sides to his personality. Always at odds with his surroundings, Cobain’s life, from his first to his very last days, promises to provide the definitive rock documentary; it already featured at Sundance Festival, where it received glowing reviews. Brett Morgen’s feature promises a personal, touching, and perhaps disturbingly intimate view of Kurt Donald Cobain.

Cobain: Montage of Heck is screening at the Tyneside Cinema on Friday 10th April.
