Giggling for a good cause could be the perfect way to spend your Tuesday next week, as The Stand hosts a comedy benefit night in aid of St Oswald’s Hospice, (who provide the highest quality care for people with life limiting conditions and support for families and carers, as well as bereavement support for those who have lost loved ones) and they’ve managed to get some of the best acts in the North East to come and flex their comedic muscles for it. It all happens on Tuesday 26th July.

Headlined by the masterful Carl Hutchinson, the night is sure to be a memorable one, with the comic’s stock really on the rise. There’s also Joby Mageean, fresh from his appearance in the final of English Comedian Of The Year, Sammy Dobson who is proving to be one of the more delightfully unique acts in the North East, there’s the sharp George Zach, the acerbic wit of Catherine Scott and it’s all held together by ever effervescent host Matt Reed. A laughter-filled night is assured, and most importantly, so is some much needed money for the wonderful St Oswald’s Hospice.

Chuckle for Charity with Carl Hutchinson takes place at The Stand, Newcastle on Tuesday 26th July.
