2016 may have been a bit of a miserable year, but there’s no excuse to end it that way. Newcastle’s premiere comedy club have a mission to keep you cheerful both pre- and post-Chrimbo, thanks to their Christmas specials and Hootfest showcases.
From Monday 12th until Saturday 17th December, the club welcome Christmas cheer and festive frolics from a host of regional and national names including Scottish stand-up and Stand regular Vladimir McTavish; transgender actress, writer and comic Bethany Black; likeable Geordie George Zach; Hal Branson, the superbly talented member of sketch goons Hot Gulp; and compere, stalker and all-round funny guy Matt Reed.
Fed up of turkey sandwiches and played with all your toys? The New Year Hootfest will get you out of the house (and your pyjamas for the first time since Christmas day) from Tuesday 27th until Saturday 31st December, when you can see the new year in with humour and good cheer from much-loved ex-teacher and all-round wit Mike Milligan; Irish comic Ian Coppinger; the adorable silliness of Nicola Mantalios-Lovett; topical comedy comes courtesy of the ever-so-slightly-surreal world of Rahul Kohli; while compering duties are provided by lovable impressionist Alfie Joey.
Ho Ho Ho etc.
