Reliably informed

Stand-up comedian Carl Hutchinson has been going from strength to strength in the comedy world, but what happens when he steps forward into a new challenge? After turning 27, Carl had some big life questions and he started asking them. Living a life as a comic alongside one as a die-hard professional wrestling fan, he hadn’t really done too much. Learning The Ropes is a show about him realising this, and questioning how he does something about it, and it’s at The Stand, Newcastle on Monday 1st February.

He undertook a new challenge. A way of doing something new. Another skill to put on the CV. Carl looks at this through his love of wrestling, and how it’s been the one constant that’s held on through  childhood into adulthood. Breaking out of the strict parameters of the comedy world, pushing himself further, the brilliantly fun show looks at what you want to be remembered as, all with the odd reference to the squared circle too.

Carl Hutchinson’s Learning The Ropes is at The Stand, Newcastle on Monday 1st February.
