Accompanying his recent exhibition Across Islands, Divides exhibition, Peter J. Evans presents a live version of Broken Telephone at BALTIC 39 on Friday 4th December.

Known for his complex methodologies and creative processes, Evans will perform alongside the inimitable talents of electronic artist Mark Fell, prominent experimental harpist Rhodri Davies and the innovative composer and performer, Laura Cannell. To be released as a special four 12” vinyl set of sixteen tracks, Broken Telephone was initially conceived as a game between four players, each making an original piece of music which travels round the other players, one after the other, each attempting to recreate from memory what they’ve heard after just one listen.

The evening will begin with a performance from a long standing inspiration for Evans – the Glasgow based multi-disciplinary artist Sue Tompkins. A challenge of musicality and raw improvisational skills, this gig is sure to be a hit with experimental arts audiences and enthusiasts alike! Don’t miss out on what guarantees to be a mind melting and ear bending show.
