Lost In The Woods bring London’s psych-groove merchants Bonfire Nights to The Studio in Hartlepool on Saturday 4th March for a night full of raw guitars, layered drones and hypnotic beats as part of their national tour before heading off to Europe for a string of dates to promote recent album Entopica Phenomica.
Ego Death, the first single from the band, is a starry blast of death pop that mixes up a colossal twisty wall of sound that is underpinned by genuine pop hooks. Bo Diddley Did Me, another album track swells with shuddering, jagged guitars that morph into banshee wails and screams; all grounded by an insistent, throbbing bass.
Having shared stages with like-minded acts such as DZ Deathrays, The Black Belles and Lola Colt you know that this appearance from Bonfire Nights is going to be one of those mind-blowing events that Lost in the Woods consistently do so well.
Support on the night comes from Darlington’s box fresh shoegaze revivalists Primitive Painters and Hartlepool’s garage types TANX, who are back on the scene after a recent hiatus with a bunch of new songs. LITW DJs will also be on hand, spinning tunes that will have you swaying into the early hours.
