Exciting photographs and portraits are making their way to NewBridge Project in Newcastle from Friday 9th through to Friday 30th September, with Blokovi: Novi Beograd and Mile End both well worth a look.
Blokovi: Novi Beograd is a series of photographs which explore apartment blocks in New Belgrade, with focus on the residents within a key aspect. With an admiration for architecture and portraiture very evident, the two themes coalesce wonderfully in this exhibition. There’s a fascinating narrative that comes out as a result, with the focus shifting between subjects.
Paul Pani’s Mile End is a study of an east London skate park, which serves to brilliantly pay tribute to the spirit and charisma of the locals who populate the area. These two displays really capture something quite subtly beautiful and utterly intriguing through some incredible images.
