West Yorkshire is barely a trek for the humble Newcastle festival-goer, and we’re pretty sure that this year’s legendary line-up at Bingley Music Live is enough to make you grab those wellies. From Friday 4th to Sunday 6th of September, the tranquil setting of Myrtle Park in Bingley is once again set to be transformed into a blazing hub of incredibly diverse acts, with everything from casual indie pop to hard-hitting alternative rock to tickle your fancy.

Kicking off the festivities are infamous two-tone icons the Beat, who are certain to stir the eager festival crowd into a mass of toe-tapping, hip-waggling glee. Next up are reformed Britpop hit-makers Cast, quickly followed by fellow indie aficionados and Bingley Music Live regulars James. If that doesn’t float your boat, the second stage features a plethora of emerging talent, including Rae Morris and Fickle Friends.

The following day continues to deliver a heavy dose of diversity for the intrepid music fan. With performances from indie royalty Carl Barat (not forgetting The Jackals), hardcore rockers Funeral For A Friend and fresh-faced pop songstress Ella Ayre, there’s certain to be something for any taste.

Last but certainly not least, Sunday’s final line-up features what promises to be an unforgettable appearance from living legend Peter Hook, playing alongside the likes of Idlewild, Embrace, and ever-impressive headliners Super Furry Animals.

Of course, Bingley in the autumn may be prone to a little rain. But with such a fabulous array of events in store, we promise you’ll hardly notice the mud.

Bingley Music Live takes place at Myrtle Park, Bingley from Friday 4th until Sunday 6th September.
