The rise of the internet has lead to a change in how quickly youngsters grow up, and the ways in which they do, so this new tale of an 11-year-old finding their feet in the world is set to be particularly poignant. Before (The Line Is Lost) comes to ARC in Stockton on Wednesday 20th September.

This one woman show focuses on the world of growing up in an internet age, and the role it plays while also delving into the world of Cosplay. The choice to explore the Cosplay world is a bold and startlingly intelligent one, as shedding light on comic conventions, and the real world and online one jarring together through autobiographical materials and verbatim interviews is tremendously important as this social movement grows and grows.
Shows such as this are as entertaining as they are enlightening, as attitudes of people drawn to Cosplaying and comics can be surprising and throw up experiences we’d never have expected. With source material drawing on a range of ages, races and genders from the UK, USA and Canada, this storytelling show spotlights through real honesty a Cosplay world and all it entails.
