Not content with just being in one of the North East’s most popular and successful bands, Barry Hyde‘s solo project has been regularly developed and pushed to the point that he has a new album to showcase, and he’s doing it at Stockton’s Georgian Theatre on Friday 19th August.

His debut solo album Malody is filled with twists and turns, twinkling piano and real raw emotion in his quite beautifully honest singing has made this a real stand-out and a must listen. Emotive and transfixing, the musicality and recurring motifs have shown Hyde to be a brilliant writer again, and the chance to see these songs live, and what Hyde brings to them in that environment is a real gift, with the songs theatrical and grandiose enough to craft a show all on their own, and Hyde’s connection to them sure to be something incredible to be in the company of for an evening.

Barry Hyde plays The Georgian Theatre, Stockton on Friday 19th August.
