There’s a thriving underground dance scene in the region that sometimes goes a little unnoticed and the Cosmic Ballroom in Newcastle is one of the hotspots for people who love dance music. Fans of the Ballroom will no doubt be very pleased that the Ape-X programme is returning to the venue for a three month run, starting from this week.

Ape-X have revealed their programme of events between September to December and this Friday they’re kicking off with two rooms of DJs and producers that’ll keep any dance maniac happy. Paul Woolford of Planet E and Hotflush is heading up the bill, with sets also coming from Tom Trago (of Rush Hour) and JammHot (Morris Audio) in the main room. Those venturing into room two can experience the delights of Contours, No Moon and Kenrick.

In the next few months, Ape-X will be welcoming the likes of Bicep, Midland, Will Saul, Leon Vynehall and Pender Street Steppers to the Cosmic Ballroom, so for a few months fans of all things 140BPM will be able to get their fix of some of the best DJs around.

Ape-X comes to the Cosmic Ballroom, Newcastle on Friday 25th September.
