If you’re needing your summer adventures kicked into gear, then there are few gigs could do that better than the show coming up at the Cluny on Friday 15th July. Four bands brimming with subtle energy have been pulled together from all over the country (though mainly the North…) for a show of raw punk passion and startlingly vital musicianship.

And None Of Them Knew They Were Robots bring their alt rock, emo-influenced noise up from Leeds, showcasing a gift for a melody, they’re a stand-out band on their first return to the region in far too long. Joined by fellow Leeds rockers Jaded Eyes, their powerful yet thoughtful punk is a welcome addition to the bill. It’s a very first gig for Sames, so it’ll be interesting to see what the former Spy Versus Spy gents offer up to a bill rounded out by local favourites Jimmy Floyd Haselbaind, whose honest, emotional, angsty songwriting should go down a storm on this stacked line-up.
