We’re fresh into January and finally rid of our New Year’s hangover, so for the drinkers amongst us it’s time to contemplate our next alcohol-fuelled adventure. But before you have your big last night out on the town after contemplating all of those New Year’s resolutions you had, you could share it in the company of some amazing theatre, as Hannah Walker and her alter ego, Savvy B take a hilarious look at what those cheeky little drinks can do to us, showing the good bits and the not-so-good. You can share An Evening With Savvy B at The Stand in Newcastle on Monday 9th and Customs House in South Shields on Thursday 26th January.
The show, from Walker and Rosa Postlethwaite, proved to be a real cult hit at Alphabetti Theatre last year, with a near sell-out run (check out our review here) and it should prove to be another smash again in 2017, with the two talented souls behind it always looking at ways for the shows to evolve and be a show that packs even more in. Evolving itself from a 15 minute piece which aimed to take theatrical performance out of the theatres and to bars, clubs and wherever else, the show is filled with sharp writing, tender observations and lots of laugh-out-loud moments. If you missed it last year, then there are two chances to make up for that at two wonderful venues. If you didn’t, it’s another chance to hurry to the front to see if you can get a glass of wine this time, as Savvy B offers up an immensely engrossing evening.
An Evening With Savvy B is at The Stand, Newcastle on Monday 9th January and Customs House, South Shields on Thursday 26th January.
