Halloween last year saw the hugely successful Phantasmagoria event at Ampersand Inventions provide culture and creativity for those looking for Halloween fun with a twist. This year sees Micro-Lates bringing two consecutive evenings at the same venue, on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th October. Involving a number of cultural organisations in Newcastle city centre, this is inventive fun for two nights in a row in the build up to Halloween itself.
This event is a uniquely creepy experience called Calvicula Nox; all inspired by tales of witchcraft, sorcery and superstition, Ampsersand’s finest creative minds have lined-up a bewitching time. Rural England provides the inspiration for a transformation of the studios which will prove spellbinding, freaky foliage, eerie lighting and a whole lot more will set the right tone. Friday sees workshops, demonstrations and installations while Saturday features more installations, attractions and fancy dress finale, so whether you fancy the family friendly Friday, or the huge finale on Saturday with a special Candy Vortex DJ set, there’s some incredible Halloween howls to be had.
