dual tree was set up by twin brothers and Ceiling Demon frontmen Psy and Dan Harrison to promote independent and original live music. Their events, a lot like their music, have a strong social conscience and caring nature, which has seen the duo promoting charity concerts for the likes of CALM and Mind, as well as being awarded funding to help improve mental health in the Richmondshire district.

Their latest event, Alleviation takes place at The Comrades on Saturday 12th October, two days after World Mental Health Day and sees them team up with Caleidoscope Counselling to put together a free all-day event of therapeutic practices and music in Richmond, North Yorkshire. The event will be split into two halves, starting with ‘A Day of Healing’ from 12-6pm, with free and confidential one to one counselling drop-in sessions alongside music therapy group sessions.

From 7pm there will be a free evening of live music to demonstrate how expression and creativity can be a positive way of processing mental health. Performing are London-based (although frontman Jak Hutchcraft was raised in Richmond) cosmic punk rockers WACO, who are headlining the event ahead of the release of their forthcoming debut album, Human Magic! Supporting are dream-pop singer-songwriter, Rosey PM, ‘barely rap’ electro artist Faithful Johannes and country-folk troubadour John Stainthorp ,who will be performing with his band The Laughing Hearts. Hosting is junkyard poet and local lad Rantin Richie.
