Exploring the creative relationship between art and architecture, BALTIC and Ryder Commission’s new exhibition, Alice Theobald and Atomik Architecture, opens at the Gateshead gallery on Friday 11th December.

The collaboration between artist Alice Theobald and architectural practice Atomik is explored in a variety of ways in the major new installation. Alice’s work develops performances using music, installation and video and in working together with Atomik, they will produce both site-specific work as well as creating new work through a process of workshops, model-making and drawing. It’s set to be a thought-provoking and visually engaging exhibition.

The reasoning behind the collaboration will also be discussed in a panel event on Wednesday 3rd February, demonstrating how the exhibition is to signify new and important ways of transforming and approaching creative and architectural practice.

Alice Theobald and Atomik Architecture’s exhibition is at BALTIC, Gateshead from Friday 11th December until Sunday 10th April.
