For most people, the first Friday of 2016 was lost to a hungover misty-eyed daze as we recovered from New Year’s Eve the night before. So the first Friday of the year proper needs to be something special, and Friday 8th January is just that, with a free show at The Cluny featuring A Festival, A Parade and Slow Decades.

It’s a wonderful chance to see two bands who compliment each other on a bill perfectly, with A Festival, A Parade unleashing a sound of folk influenced, melodic indie that will be fittingly complimented by the delicate, quirky, indie pop of Slow Decades. With both bands having a penchant for sincere, honest, intelligent lyrics earnestly sang over twinkly guitars, it’s going to be an evening full of musical goodness.

It’s a fine way to spend a wintery Friday night, basking in the glow of warm, charming, thoughtful melodies from two emerging, immensely talented bands.

A Festival, A Parade and Slow Decades play The Cluny on Friday 8th January.
