On Saturday 9th February, Newcastle-based alternative indie outfit A Festival. A Parade will grace the stage at one of the country’s most revered live music venues; their maiden performance at Sage Gateshead represents the next step on their upwardly mobile journey.

The band sit snugly within the region’s burgeoning indie scene, having recently supported breakout star Sam Fender during his autumn 2018 tour, AFAP have built a strong following off the back of their critically acclaimed single Cold Shower and strong showing at Brighton’s industry shindig The Great Escape. 2018’s autobiographical EP Stay Away From Me arrived on Generator’s Tipping Point Records and was warmly received by fans and critics alike, with their languid style being compared to Mogwai, The Cure and The National.

Their forthcoming headline show will be their most prestigious to date, and they’ll be supported by the equally hyped Okay Champ, who come with a raft of critical approval for their paranoia-infused noisy alt. rock.

The gig offers the chance to see two of the region’s rising stars in the most majestic of venues, don’t miss out.
