Raucous Newcastle rockers A Festival, A Parade are back on the scene with their new EP Stay Away From Me, plus a support slot with rising star Sam Fender at Newcastle University on Saturday 17th November (which sold out yonks ago…you snooze, you lose).

Crashing onto the scene in 2015, four-piece A Festival, A Parade have already been turning heads across the UK with intense performances alongside the likes of Frightened Rabbit, Maximo Park and Public Service Broadcasting.

Released on 26th October via Tipping Point Records, Stay Away From Me retains much of the chaos that A Festival, A Parade have become loved for, with grittier riffs and ballistic percussion aplenty. Opening on Cold Shower, the EP immediately commands the listener to turn the volume up, as piercing guitars lead into hyperactive instrumentals. The interestingly titled Sex Dream slows down the tempo slightly, as delicate strumming patterns glide over a dull drone which soon expands into a soothing soundscape complete with rocky vibe. The EP is replete with brooding vocals from frontman Joe Allan which rub up against the vibrant, erratic guitar work and dramatic percussion that we’d expect from the quartet.
