Maybe you’ve taken a bit of a different path with your New Year’s resolutions. Perhaps instead of deciding to lose weight or quit smoking, you’ve decided to get a bit more creative and finally write that novel or epic poem. If you’ve got a story up your sleeve, you might want to pop along to the Star and Shadow Cinema on Friday 2nd January.

A Bit Crack are hosting Winter Wonderings, an open night for stories from the floor. The organisers are encouraging people to come down and share their stories, poems and jokes with the audience; even if you’ve never told a story before, you’re welcome to come and try your hand. There’s just one rule: you’re not allowed to read anything!

But, if storytelling and getting up in front of the crowd isn’t quite your thing, then you’re more than welcome to pop down and enjoy the tales as a spectator!

A Bit Crack’s Winter Wonderings open night takes place at the Star and Shadow Cinema, Newcastle on Friday 2nd January.
