Big Business had as much anticipation and hype cast upon them as the headliners did. Two men creating a cacophonous, melodic wall of sound with only a bass guitar and a drum kit. Jared Warren’s distinct vocal style carried the tracks through, all the while complimented by Coady Willis’ incredible drum work. At times it was like watching a highly technical drum solo powering through to fill out the bottom end of the frequency spectrum that the bass had missed. Stoner sludge never sounded so good, full or in your face.

Headliners Mastodon arrived on stage and straight into Treading Lightly and new album title track, Once More Round the Sun. The 18 song set featured a mix of tracks from their entire back catalogue. Each album was represented here even as far back as Remission with Old Nessie. Crowd favourite High Road provided the big sing along moment of the night with the audience bellowing out the chorus in fine form. Finishing off the set with the always awesome Blood & Thunder, the ultimate finale had been reached; drummer Brann Dailor thanked the audience, threw out his drum sticks and left the stage to end a highly memorable show from the Atlanta, Georgia four piece.
