Thursday 24th August
FOOD & DRINK The Bohemian, Newcastle
We’re always happy to slip the odd food and drink recommendation in too, and this vegan restaurant on Pink Lane was one that had a top restaurant week menu that tempted us along, and is certainly worth a visit for some lovely eats and does a smashing pizza.

Friday 25th August
COMEDY Laura Lexx, Ben Crompton, Jason Cook @ ARC, Stockton

MUSIC Chase Park Festival @ Saltwell
Taking place on Saturday, the inclusive festival aims to break down cultural stereotypes and engage the whole community with a family-friendly and accessible event which just so happens to have a pretty damn good line-up to boot. Liverpudlian lovelies The Coral headline the one day festival, which also sees local indie heroes Little Comets join the bill alongside Teesside’s favourite folk popsters Cattle & Cane and Newcastle’s highly regarded agit-rockers Boy Jumps Ship.

Sunday 27th August
COMEDY Jokeslam To Hell @ The Stand, Newcastle
The smash-hit stand-up comedy show where some of the UKs top wrestling-obsessed comics & special guests, hit the road in a show that’s must for any wrestling fan, with this punchline pile-driving, laugh-lariating, headlock of hysteria about the fandom, love, over-the-top, pop culture-infusing real-life action movie and artistry of agony that is professional pro-wrestling.

And for something a little different…
