COMEDY Gavin Webster @ The Stand, Newcastle
The legendary Geordie comic brings his new show as part of his ‘Northern Hemisphere’ tour. A show sure to be packed with lots of daftness and some sharp gags, this is the ideal cure to dealing with the end of a Bank Holiday weekend.

Tuesday 2nd May
FILM Mulholland Drive @ Tyneside Cinema, Newcastle
Mulholland Drive is rightly regarded as one of David Lynch’s greatest works alongside Eraserhead and Blue Velvet, this cryptic and surreal neo-noir masterpiece returns to the Tyneside with a newly restored version.

Wednesday 3rd May
MUSIC Blanck Mass @ The Cluny, Newcastle
The electronic solo project by Benjamin John Power, one of the founding members of drone band Fuck Buttons, should make for a bit of midweek musical mastery at Cluny.

Thursday 4th May
COMEDY Matt Reed’s Junk Box @ ARC, Stockton
Junk Box is exactly what it says on the tin. Matthew will have a box full of junk and whichever item he pulls out of the box become the object of his next gag. Whether it be an old DVD, a rude looking vegetable, a newspaper cutting or a family heirloom, he will have to find a way to use it in the show.

Friday 5th May
MUSIC Einsturzende Neubauten @ Boiler Shop, Newcastle
The iconic German industrial band are sure to pack out Boiler Shop on Friday night, with some of the most interesting and original sounds, you definitely don’t want to miss this.

Saturday 6th May
MUSIC Dansi @ Cluny 2, Newcastle
The upbeat five-piece blend their folk influences with pop sensibilities and a whole lot more, and their eclectic mix of inspirations lead to a captivating sound that’ll reverberate around Cluny 2 wonderfully.

Sunday 7th May
COMEDY Hilarity Bites with Wes Zaharuk and more @ One77, Hatlepool
Host Lee Kyle welcomes the utterly off-the-wall prop master Wes Zaharuk alongside George Zach for an evening of top laughs, and a perfect end to the week.
