Watching a show about death doesn’t sound like the most cheerful evening, especially considering how bloody awful last week was, but Luca Rutherford’s play is about the actuality of dying and how an acceptance of mortality can drive a passion for life.

Friday 22nd January
MUSIC Martin Carthy @ Old Cinema Launderette, Durham
One of folk music’s greatest innovators, Martin Carthy’s astonishing voice and huge songwriting talent makes him a favourite of his peers as well as his fans. Don’t miss this opportunity to see him in such an intimate venue.

Saturday 23rd January
