Stuck for something to do in the next seven days? We aim to have you covered with an event a day for the next week, all across the region. This time around we have a creepy classic film, an adaptation of a ground-breaking novel and an AV spectacular!

Monday 9th November
MUSIC Eagles of Death Metal @ O2 Academy, Newcastle
Jesse and Josh bring their blues-soaked rock ‘n’ roll to Newcastle. The group have already received rave reviews for their energetic live shows, and in new album Zipper Down they’ve got a heavy, raucous and hook-filled hit on their hands. Don’t miss this live show!

Tuesday 10th November
STAGE Brave New World @ Darlington Civic Theatre
Adapted from Aldous Huxley’s ground-breaking novel, the world premiere of Brave New World also features music from These New Puritans. Expect a rollercoaster of emotions from this remarkably poignant production.

Wednesday 11th November
COMEDY Red Raw @ The Stand, Newcastle
10 comedians for £2? You’d be mad not to if you’re at a loose end on Wednesday. The Stand’s Red Raw night draws talent from far and wide, and with host Jay Lafferty and headliner Keir McAllister you’re certain of some top notch rib-tickling comedy.

Thursday 12th November
ART & LIT Lumiere @ Durham
The UK’s largest festival of light, Durham city and its surrounds will be transformed with stunning light installations and illuminations. The free event runs across the weekend but you’ll need a ticket to get into the city centre during busy periods.

Friday 13th November
MUSIC Warm Digits + Filmbee @ Northern Stage, Newcastle
Enjoy an audio visual feast for the senses, as kaleidoscopic power duo Warm Digits team up with analogue film collective Filmbee for a truly one-off experience. Support comes from the live coding project co¥ᄀpt and lo-fi electronic alt. popster Pentecostal Party.

Saturday 14th November
MUSIC Moulettes & Nizlopi @ ARC, Stockton
Indie folk band Moulettes head up a night of easy going and eclectic sounds. Nizlopi have much more to them than that annoying JCB song, the group blend folk, soul, roots and hip-hop into a delightful fusion.

Sunday 15th November
FILM Nosferatu @ Newcastle Castle
One of the scariest films of all time, F W Murnau’s black and white classic Nosferatu is screened in the atmospheric surrounds of Newcastle Castle. The first ever adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula, is a pant-wettingly terrifying gothic classic. An additional screening also takes place on Sunday 29th November.
