Reliably informed

While 2016 may have more than a few of its down moments, the North East’s music scene has sought to constantly challenge that with another year of awesome releases. We’ve been lucky enough at NARC to premier the odd music video too, so we’ve picked a selection we really enjoyed this year, that are well worth another watch.

The Shooting Of – Analogue Heart
An immensely fun video for a quirky pop track from the inventive one-man-band. Worth watching for the appearance of a confetti cannon alone.

Rob Heron & The Teapad Orchestra – Something Blue
A video filled with kitchen-sink realism beneath a smart track from the utterly original music-makers. There’s even an appearance from one of our favourite pubs.

Savannah Betts – Warning
Something a little darker and haunting from the beguiling songstress, with a video that captured a more brooding sound on her new EP.

Casual Threats – Suarez
The post-punkers know what they’re doing and do it well, with just enough of their wry sense of humour on show in a video that captures the dark energy on offer from a blistering song.

Mouses – Hollywood
No best of the year list would be complete without the fuzzy pop duo, and the silent-movie inspired offering here is an ideal addition to this collection.
