Reliably informed

We caught up with quirky indie noise makers Mouses to find out their five recommendations for bands you should not be missing at NARC. Fest on Saturday 1st July. Over to you Mouses…

It’s class to be involved in NARC. Fest again this year, and even better to have been asked by one of our favourite people, Paul Brown from the excellent Tiny Lights Records. We’re very excited to headline the Free Trade Inn stage. Here’s 5 of our favourite bands that are playing!

Life Model (Free Trade Inn)
The first time we played NARC. Fest two years ago we played just before Milky Wimpshake and Sophie from Life Model guested on their set so it’ll be nice to catch up again. We’ve played with Life Model a couple of times now and they’re always excellent.

Sick Joy (Little Buildings)
We love Sick Joy. We have them back up for Mousetival on 12th August, which we can’t wait for! I don’t like making comparisons or anything but they’re grungy as and are a seriously good band to watch.

Penguin (The Cluny)
EAT FAST introduced me to Penguin when I was doing a music video for them recently – they had a lot of good things to say! I’ve been looking forward to seeing them since so this will be a perfect opportunity. They sound brill.

Ceiling Demons (The Tanners Arms)
I haven’t seen the times yet but I’m hoping we can catch some of Ceiling Demons’ set. They’re like nothing I’ve heard before and they always put on an amazing show. Lovely people too.
Duck (The Tanners Arms)
We saw them in Liverpool when we played Smithdown Road Festival not long ago and they were great! Kind of noisy industrial punk rock. They have one of the best t-shirts I’ve ever seen too. Get one.

NARC. Fest 2017 takes place at a multitude of venues across the Ouseburn Valley on Saturday 1st July.
