So, tell us a bit about yourself and what you do?
I’m LOUISAHHH, I co-founded the label RAAR with Maelstrom, I make warrior music. I am thrilled to be alive.

What’s the first record you ever bought?
I can’t remember the first record I bought; I actually learned to DJ on CDJs, but was playing all vinyl sets around 2009-2013 because of digital burnout. Buying records was a way of re-learning the value of music and getting to know tracks really well, a counter-balance to blog-house culture of the moment. It switched back to CDJs when I moved to France and started to tour heavily and move house a lot. As for the first record I owned, I was gifted a 7” 1977 pressing of God Save the Queen by the Sex Pistols that lived, revered, on my wall when I was a teenager, a point of punk pride.

What’s your guilty pleasure musically?
I really, really love the Red Hot Chili Peppers Frusciante years. And Haddaway.

Favourite film of all time?
Vertigo or Les Amants du Pont Neuf.

Your guilty pleasure film?
Drumline or anything that will make me ugly cry on an airplane.

If you could recommend one TV series to binge watch, what would it be?
Twin Peaks or Fargo.

Your favourite book?
His Dark Materials Trilogy by Philip Pullman.

Who or what makes you laugh the most?
Silly dogs on the internet. I had to start an account just to celebrate them, actually, because my management told me to stop posting silly dogs on my artist page. Follow @thejokeswereonbrand for exactly that.

Who or what makes you sad?
My horse, Jesse, died a couple years ago after 16 years of really being the love of my life. I still miss him a lot, and the tangible feeling of that loss, like being unplugged, is still heartbreaking.

If you had super power, what would it be?
Teleportation. I fucking hate airports.

And finally, you get to play a board game with any three famous people from history, who do you choose and what’s the board game?
Oh god. Pictionary, probably, with Joan of Arc, Trent Reznor and Hatshepsut.

Louisahhh is at MSA, Newcastle on Wednesday 29th August.
