2017 has been a rather interesting year. We’ve been lucky enough to fill our pages with some incredible creative talent, so we asked a few of them to share some thoughts on the year just gone. We caught up with stand-up comedian George Zach, to take a little look back, through the highs and lows of his year…

So, how was your 2017?
I really enjoyed 2017. I went on holiday several times, had a really nice time at all the festivals I got involved in and I didn’t die, which is always a win.

Tucker and Dale vs Evil was incredibly funny-but I was stoned when I saw it so my judgement may have been askew.

What was your favourite gig of the year?
I saw a comedian called Paul Currie make a whole audience sing meaow meaow to the tune of American Woman and as this was happening he got a volunteer on stage, poured some milk in a bowl, placed it down and then both of them started drinking from it like cats, whilst the audience were still meaowing. I almost fell off my chair laughing.

What gifts are on your letter to Santa this year?
I would love for Santa to pay for my tickets to Australia, but I am definitely not on the good list. But I am currently living in such a cold house that I will happily accept some coal.
