Reliably informed

We here at NARC have decided we’d end 2015 with a fond look back at the year just gone, and who better to tell us than some people who’ve had an utterly fantastic year; and for whom 2016 is sure to be just as exciting.

It’s the mighty fine purveryors of lo-fi fuzz pop up next; Dignan Porch.

So Dignan Porch, how was your 2015?
Pretty decent cheers, we did two European tours, put out a Limited edition cassette and a single.

What was your best moment of the year?
The gigs we did in Italy. Eating amazing pizza and drinking loads of Peroni before playing Covo Club in Bologna.

Your worst moment of the year?
When the car we used for touring, a ’95 Toyota Estima, broke down on the way to Calais. We got towed to a garage and the mechanics were very surly with us. We also got told off for posing for some pictures on 1500 year old tombstones in Lyon. We did not realise you weren’t meant to sit on them. Still feel bad about that, no harm done though.

Your favourite song of 2015?
Daytime Television by Salad Boys.

Your favourite film of 2015?
I really liked Tangerine and The Lobster. But I just saw the new Star Wars at the London Science museum projected on 15/70mm film, not gonna lie, it was awesome. So probably Star Wars.

Your favourite gig of 2015?
Enjoyed supporting and watching Mikal Cronin at the 100 Club.

Finally, what’s 2016 got in store for you?
We’re working on a new album and booking a UK tour for April, including playing Scotland for the first time.
