Where Do All The Dead Pigeons Go? debuted in 2017 in association with ARC, Stockton and Northern Stage and after touring for the past few years now finds itself at Alphabetti Theatre, Newcastle from 16th-19th July. Creator Scott Turnbull tells us more about his production and gives us his five things to look forward to in the show.

Where Do All The Dead Pigeon’s go?  is a story of friendship and loneliness, set on the dark side of the moon. There’s a robot from Middlesbrough and an old school over head projector from 1984. It’s like Mighty Boosh meets Red Dwarf, with live drawings and absurd existential musings- it’s funny and heart-breaking all at the same time.

Five things to look forward to:

  1. Totally unsophisticated sci-fi special effects
  2. Two cartoon Foxes Making Love to Madness
  3. A ‘Lorra, lorra, laughs’ with Cilla Black in a bizarre Blind Date.
  4. Superfly sucking his thumb and begging for ‘Momma’s Milk’.
  5. And lots more absurd, comic book animation.

It’s a fun-filled Fever Dream of 80’s nostalgia with a recognisable human story at the centre of it all.

Tickets – Its Pay What you Decide, so you could have a mint night at the theatre and put 20 pence in the bucket – BARGAIN!
