Reliably informed

The bluesy sweeping soundscapes of Bernaccia have become a popular part of the North East music scene; their neo-psychedelic guitars and pulsating riffs have been charming audiences live, so the announcement of a new video is a real treat for fans and a perfect introduction to the band for anyone late to the party.

Awake sees the alternative five piece doing what they do best, it’s a dark, brooding track that sweeps you away. The dichotomy presented in the two vocals, first female then male is fascinating, and the sound created as they come together on the tremendously catchy chorus is so much of what Bernaccia are about. The video matches this, with a wonderfully trippy, psychedelic feel and catching the energy of the band live. There’s be a lot more to come from the quintet this year, but the new song and video will fill the space for now, until a homecoming show at Newcastle’s Mining Institute on Saturday 21st May, with tickets and more information available here.

Bernaccia release Awake now and play TS One in Middlesbrough on Thursday 28th April and play The Mining Institute, Newcastle on Saturday 21st May.
