Cross Liam Gallagher with Miles Kane, and it might give you a little flavour of Twisted Wheel. It was a pleasant surprise to hear that Satisfying the Ritual isn’t your standard indie record wearing many influences well.

All of the songs are mightily catchy, with some nifty, accomplished guitar work. Covering sensitive issues, Black and Blue has melancholic harmonies as they cry out, “I don’t believe in anyone and I barely trust myself.” Bluesy 2020 Vision is near enough a high energy instrumental with few disorientated words. Satisfying the Ritual’s rap feel is experimental, whilst Show Me is beautiful. This album is cracking and will be a solid accompaniment to a drive.
